Can auto steer be fitted to my existing tractor?

Yes. PTx Trimble systems are brand-agnostic, so guidance and automated steering can be retrofitted to most makes and models — not just AGCO machines. Assisted steering systems suit a wide range of older tractors, and our engineers will advise on the best option for each machine in your fleet.

What accuracy can I expect?

It depends on the correction service you choose. Standard satellite corrections deliver reliable pass-to-pass accuracy for most fieldwork, while an RTK correction takes you down to centimetre-level, repeatable year after year — ideal for drilling, controlled traffic farming and inter-row work.

Do I need an RTK subscription?

Not necessarily. Many customers start with standard corrections and upgrade later — the hardware supports it. If your work justifies RTK accuracy, we can advise on correction options and costs for your area.

Do you install and support the systems?

Yes. Redlynch supplies, fits and supports the full PTx range from our Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire branches, with trained engineers and ongoing backup through our Aftersales team.
