Larrington Trailers - The New Carbon Light Range
The New Carbon Light range of trailers is a direct result of Larrington Trailer’s investment in a unique 8m plasma cutter and a 8m 400 ton brake press which allows Larrington Trailers to use up to 8m long sheets of cut and folded steel as the building blocks for the Carbon Light trailers.
Accurate, precise and efficient, the folded steel created by these machines give a greater strength to the design than just adding more and more steel.
The lightweight design offers Larrington Trailer customers the best cost per pay-load ratio, with the strength to do the job. Full length folding greatly reduces the number of weld joins that are required.
Keeping the steel as one piece, retains the strength throughout the length of the trailer. Used widely on commercial vehicle bodies its already a proven system.
The features that puts the Carbon Light trailer ahead of other agricultural trailers are the swivel drawbar shoe with height adjustment, LED lights, arched front and taildoor and angled top rail designed to aid the fitting of a rollover sheet.
Larrington Trailers - Flat Deck Trailer
This Flat Deck trailer has a 6mm folded and formed full length chassis which incorporates the floor and cross members as part of the complete structure of the chassis.
The Larrington Flat Deck trailer has adjustable raves. The raves can be completely stored away on the trailer, so that they always stay with the trailer and do not get lost.
The deck can be coated in an anti-slip paint or left smooth for use with wrapped bales.
Side plates (20 mm) can be fitted to help secure boxes loaded on the trailer.
A strap box holds ratchet straps used to secure the load on the trailer. There are holes provided in the side rails for the ratchet’s hooks to clip into. No rope hooks are provided as there was no customer demand for these, with ratchets now universally used.
Larrington Trailers - Side Silage Trailer
The Silage Side Extension Kit is an important recent improvement to the Larrington Trailer range.
The silage extension kit is shaped so that it fits securely onto the curved top-rail of the trailer body. This helps to keep the side extension in place as the load pushes it outwards. The shape of the extension kit also strengthens the structure, removing the risk of the sides bending and twisting, and makes it easy to locate the sides onto the top of the trailer.
The conventional flat top-rail of the trailer body has been reshaped so that it is curved. As well as the advantages described above, the curved top-rail stops the material being loaded from hanging on the top rail which could later fall onto the road. The angle also matches the arch of the rollover sheet, removing the need for a second rail to be fitted for the rollover sheet to seal onto.
